The victory, before a national television audience on Monday night, represented a milestone for the Dolphins, bringing the team to the .500 mark in its six-year history with a 46-46-3 record. It took the Minnesota Vikings 10 years and 10 games Vern Den Herder recorded two sacks to improve his season total to nine. Earl Morrall passed for 210 yards, including touchdown passes of 37 and 27 yards to Otto Stowe. Larry Csonka rushed for 114 yards on 16 carries, Jim Kiick added a touchdown and Garo Yepremian kicked two field goals.
