Paul Warfield caught four passes for 132 yards, including a 66-yard touchdown reception to lead the Dolphins at Yankee Stadium. But it was far from a one-man performance. Jim Kiick gained 61 yards on 10 carries and 28 yards on four receptions. Mercury Morris gained 98 yards and scored on a 12-yard run. Garo Yepremian added field goals of 37, 31 and 16 yards. The defense was outstanding, forcing the Giants to give up the ball six times on the muddy field. "They're the best coached team we faced this year," Giants cornerback Willie Williams said. "If you make a mistake they stick it to you. And that's what they did."
